I had my doubts about the quality of an elliptical at this price point, but was pleasantly surprised. Great quality device, and a great addition to my home gym.
First - the box is really heavy, as you might expect, but we opened it and brought it to the basement a piece at a time. The packaging was very good - the only thing I didn't like was that the foam wasn't recyclable, but it arrived in pristine condition.

Assembly was surprisingly simple. The instructions were straightforward, and the illustrations were good. My 72 year old husband assembled this by himself in a couple of hours with only one minor misstep - he managed to get the handlebars on backwards - but that was quick and easy to correct.

Now to the good stuff - this thing is nearly silent. I can watch TV while using it without having to crank the volume up. The way the thing is put together, keeping it lubricated with silicon is simple and quick - just a couple of sprays on the slides that the peddles move on, and the mechanism doesn't have any catches or jerkiness at all. After a couple of weeks of use, there's still no squeaking and it's still smooth and quiet.

The controls are simple to understand and use. You really can jump on this thing and use it as soon as it's set up. I'm pretty short, but the stride length is just right for me (unlike the ones at the gym that I struggle to use), but my taller husband says it works for him too. It also works just as smoothly in reverse, so you can change things up easily.

Overall, I call this a great value for the price.
The one thing I don't care for is the adjustment to increase the intensity. It's a little hard to move up and down, and you can't be standing on the machine when you adjust it, and it's a bit awkwardly placed. But that really is a pretty minor thing.
